Toovey, F H  (Frank Toovey was Honorary Secretary of Old Gaytonians Athletic Club in 1929.  He lived at Hatch End and won many prizes for his hobby, wine-making.  He worked for North British & Mercantile Insurance Company joining the law courts branch in 1924 and being appointed chief clerk in 1930.  By 1954 he was chief clerk at Southwark branch and married with two sons. During World War II he served in the Royal Signals and saw service in Normandy and Africa. Williamson, W G B  (William George Brackenbury Williamson spent his whole working life with the Phoenix Assurance Company.  During the war, he commanded a motor torpedo boat.  Bill Williamson was active in the Old Gaytonians Association Rugby and Tennis Clubs, and held various offices in both of them.  He was one of the principal organisers of 28 postwar Gayton Fairs.  He died in 1988 following a sudden heart attack.)

Bennett, A F R  (Swimming Champion 1927 and 1928. Won prize cadetship for Cranwell, 1931. Pilot Officer, 1933. Appointed a Squadron Leader in the RAF in Spring, 1939.  Wing Commander Albert Frank Reuben (Robin) Bennett was a pioneer developer of rocket-firing aircraft.  He was killed while making the first flight in a Hurricane fitted with an important version of the rocket gun.)

Jewell, F  (Frank Jewel went to Stuttgart, Germany in 1933 to work for Bosch.  He returned around 1936/7 and became a successful engineer.  After WW2, he owned and operated a mid- sized Diesel engines and heavy equipment distributorship for Lucas and CAV at two locations in London.  He died in 1997.  His elder son, Robert Jewell, lives in Troy, Michigan, USA, and his  younger son, David Jewell, lives in Canada.)

Oakley, A R  (Dick Oakley was one of four brothers who were at Harrow County between 1913 and 1936.  He is recorded in one list as having started in 1922, but elsewhere as 1924.  He played football and cricket for the school.  Press Secretary of the OG Football Club in 1929.    Played cricket for Bessborough 'A' in 1929.  He was a Major in the Royal Engineers during the war, and spent several years in India.  He spent his career with Goulandris Brothers. Ltd., the shipowners, and at the time of his death in 1968 was Chartering Director of that company.)

Harding, A G E (Gordon Harding ws awarded Colours for Rugby, Cricket and Athletics. Junior Sports Champion, 1927.  Middle School Champion, 1929.  Senior Sports Champion, 1930.  Winner of Penney Trophy, 1930.  2nd in A.A.A. Junior High Jump, 1930. He joined the RAF in 1940, and was presumed killed on a raid over Germany, July 9th, 1942.)

Higham, D C  (Denis Higham was Junior Sports Champion in 1928 and Junior-Senior Sports Champion in 1930.  Middlesex County under 18 Long Jump Champion, 1932.  A.A.A. Junior Long Jump Champion in 1933.  Second in 100 Yards at National Provincial Bank Sports, 1936.)
Hillier, N M  (Neville Hillier was awarded colours for cricket in 1930. He joined the 50th Royal Tank Regiment, took part in the desert fighting from El Alamein to Bizerta, and went to Sicily, Italy, Egypt, Palestine and finally Greece, where he was killed during the civil war in 1945.)

Mansell, F E  (Brother of F J Mansell (1921-25). Went to New South Wales, Australia on May 29th 1929.  In Wagga Wagga, NSW in October 1929.  He was engaged in farming until the outbreak of war.  He joined up in the A.I.F. and served in Malaya, where he was taken prisoner. He served 4 1/2 years in Tokio Prison Camp, working in an iron foundry.  In 1950 he was District Superintendent of the Big Brother Movement of Southern New South Wales.)

Robinson, P F M (Peter Robinson was killed in the Second World War.  He was a Hurrican pilot in the RAF who fought in, and survived the Battle of Britain, but was killed on 17th June, 1941. Senior, L R   (Leonard Senior was a prominent member of the 4th Harrow Scout Troop.  He gained colours for Rugby.  Officer Cadet Leonard Senior joined the army in May, 1943, and was killed on September 19th, 1943.  He is buried in Pinner Road cemetery.)
